Based in Kokopo, Papua New Guinea, we are an experienced and premium operator offering professional guided trips for beginners through to advanced blue water hunters. We are not just a fishing operator, we also aim to provide adventures and experiences beyond just catching fish, and can deliver on your Saltwater Adventure dreams.
Our operations are located on site at Kokopo Beach Bungalows, where our boats have direct access to the Coral Sea, from local island chains to more remote spots through the New Guinea Islands region. We have a range of boats from smaller banana boats through to our 51-foot Maritimo luxury liveaboard with our experienced crew and captains.
Spearfishing
KBB partners with PNG Spearfishing to operate the only premium spearfishing charter operation based in Papua New Guinea. Led by head guide Dylan Foo, with over 20 years of diving and spearfishing experience, our charters provide access to remote, untouched reefs and blue‑water environments—while enjoying modern facilities and premium accommodation on or off water.
We offer day spearfishing trips through to liveaboard expeditions on our 50-foot liveaboard, sleeping up to 6 people. Beginners focus on shallow reef spearfishing and technique, while experienced spearos can target deeper drop‑offs and blue water for Spanish mackerel, giant trevally (GTs), powerful dogtooth tuna, and trout species
Sportfishing
Just 20 minutes from the resort, you can be trolling pristine waters for Spanish mackerel, barracuda, and a variety of local game species. For anglers seeking more adventure, we also offer dedicated trips to remote reef systems where you can pop or jig for powerhouse GTs, dogtooth tuna, and vibrant red snapper.
For those chasing true trophy fish, East New Britain is renowned for its world‑class blue and striped marlin fishing. The region’s offshore pinnacles hold fish year‑round, offering exceptional opportunities to hook into big game in breathtaking surroundings
